A delightful calico cat is overjoyed to see her wish come true after being saved along with her two batches of kittens.
Earlier this year, Alley Cat Rescue located in Los Angeles received news about a mother cat and her eight kittens from two separate litters who were in a critical situation. The rescue acted immediately to rescue the family of nine before they would have ended up in a shelter. Tangerine, the calico cat who was only a year old, required extensive assistance. Alley Cat Rescue shared with Love Meow that they rescued the young mom with two sets of four different-aged kittens all nursing. Since Tangerine was trying to feed eight hungry mouths, volunteers provided supplementary food to the older kittens so that Tangerine could concentrate on feeding her four ten-day-old babies.
According to Alley Cat Rescue, the couple of weeks went well until Tangerine, the cat mother, ran out of milk. Fortunately, the organization had been helping by providing meals, so it was a smooth transition. The kittens required round-the-clock bottle feeding, but Tangerine continued to keep them clean. She was appreciative of the help and began to enjoy spending more time with her helpers, enjoying their affection.
Upon the arrival of the caretakers, Tangerine cheerfully welcomed them and expressed her happiness through her charming purrs. The team from Alley Cat Rescue shared with Love Meow how sweet and enthusiastic Tangerine was towards receiving attention. At just three weeks old, one of the older kittens started devouring their mom’s food, while some were still struggling to move around properly. However, this particular kitten had already mastered the art of feeding.
I find it truly intriguing how clever little kittens can be. They have the ability to quickly learn proper litter box etiquette, groom their paws, play with toys, and cuddle up to stay cozy. One particular kitten, Cornbread, was the smallest of his litter and required some additional care to aid in his growth. “We’ve been keeping a close eye on their weights, and this little one seemed to hit a plateau in terms of gaining weight.”
Despite his small stature, Little Cornbread was full of determination and a strong will to catch up with his bigger siblings. After each feeding, Momma Tangerine would encourage him with cheers while wiping off his milkstache. He proved that size didn’t matter as he fearlessly wrestled with his larger siblings and held his own.
The adorable little kitten, Cornbread, is growing up quickly and transforming into a beautiful ginger feline. His friendly personality makes him a joy to be around, and he always seems to have an appetite. Every time his caretakers come to feed him, they are greeted with the cutest welcome from the other kittens in his litter who have already learned to eat on their own. However, Cornbread still prefers to get his nutrients from his bottle and with those big blue eyes of his, it’s hard to resist giving him what he wants.
Tangerine’s caretakers have been given the responsibility of taking care of her babies, and she is now ready to retire from motherhood. She has been yearning for a place where she can be the focus of attention and finally found it this week when she was adopted and moved into her new home.
The feline is overjoyed to relive her kitten days, receiving plenty of affection, fun playtime, and cozy cuddles from her loving forever family. According to Alley Cat Rescue, she now has a new sibling to adore her and is delighted to have finally found her forever home where she can live happily ever after.
